Minutes from Meeting on the 15 July 2011:
Alan Cropp received an email thanking him for his efforts to trace the background of a 1939 long jump medal. The family concerned were most grateful.
Re team Mangers: email received from David Vosser. Graeme Lowndes has kindly offered to help out at the Southern Inter Counties XC on the 10 December, so all age groups will now be covered.
Affiliation request received from the University of Winchester, this was accepted.
SEAA update received. Full details of future XC Championships have been given to the relevant team managers.
Email from Richard Dean regarding tracking visitors to the county website. Richard has put forward suggestions to improve some of the information published, he has also requested an up to date list of paid up clubs. Any other comments or additional information for the website would be gratefully received.
Mike Barratt presented his last report as Treasurer. Mike thanked everyone for all their support and he formally handed over the books to the new Treasurer, Steve Squires. Mike will still remain as a signatory though.
Mike has done an excellent job and he will be a hard act to follow! Despite the loss of the road race levies, Mike has ensured through his efforts that the county has a sound financial base to work on for the future. Mike was thanked by everyone present for his hard work, commitment and dedication over many years.
Mike will still continue as an HAA Official though, working at events for both the county and local clubs.
Finance and Sustainability Sub Group:
Mike Coker gave a full and detailed explanation to the background as to why this group was formed. A written document along with the Business Plan was circulated, and a lengthy discussion then took place. It is hoped that updates will be published on the county website starting in 2012, but in the meantime you can contact Mike at: email@example.com
Cross Country Championships:
Saturday 7 January 2012
Pam Rogers reported that the arrangements to stage the championships were progressing well. There will be changes with regard to the start and finish; full details will be available on the HAA website late September.
Track and Field Championships:
The dates for 2012 are:-
Multi Events and Under 11's events: Monday 7 May
Track and Field Championships: Saturday/Sunday 12 and 13 May
Hire of Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth to be arranged.
The 29th Countance International XC will be staged on the 20 November 2011. Sheena Fitzmaurice will be assisted by Graeme Lowndes at this prestigious event.
Joint Officials' Report:
Report circulated. HAA Officials are kept fully updated by Eileen and Terry Williams.
Colin Goater reported that regular meetings take place and are always well attended; in fact at the last meeting 25 clubs were represented! Colin has agreed to chase up the county affiliations still outstanding. For full and up to date details, visit www.hrrl.org.uk.
The first two league matches will take place on Sunday 16 October and Sunday 20 November at Eastleigh. Mike Coker has managed to negotiate a much reduced hall hire cost for both of these dates! Carol Quinn is coordinating the matches and is the main contact; Wendy Littlejohns is recruiting the officials.
Mike will be meeting the managers at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth, shortly to discuss the hall hire costs for the final league match and championships. Dates to be decided.
Mike Coker has regular meetings and discussions with both schools and clubs to ensure that they are kept fully informed of all of the schemes that take place in Hampshire.

Regarding the county trophy cabinet to be installed at Fleming Park Leisure Centre, Colin Goater has agreed to look into this and will report back any progress at the meeting in November.
