UK Counties Athletics Union Secretary
Following a recent resignation, the UK CAU are looking for someone to take on the role of Secretary.
Mary J Hodges, the UK CAU Chairman, has produced a very brief outline of the role (below) but would be more than happy to speak to anyone who would be willing to take on the role.
UK CAU have two or three Management Meetings a year; in addition the Cross-Country and Track & Field have a separate Sub-Committee, the minutes of which are taken by a member of the Sub-Committee and therefore the new secretary would not be required to take minutes, but would be invited to attend.
The AGM will be held in August and UK CAU always welcomes new nominations for the Management Committee.
Vacancy - Honorary Secretary
The UK Counties Athletic Union is seeking a new Honorary Secretary to manage and coordinate the general organisation and future development of the Union.
Established in 1924 to encourage, develop and promote Inter County Competition in the various disciplines of Athletics in association with and under the direction and approval of UK Athletics, the Union now caters for Championships in all disciplines of our sport for both male and female athletes - with the exception of Tug of War.
The Union operates with an elected Management Council and a separate Championship Secretary for the organisation of the Cross Country and Track & Field Championships.
The Secretary will be expected to liaise with UK Athletics and England Athletics, as well as the governing bodies of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. A broad knowledge of athletics will be useful but is not essential.
Applications from suitable applicants should be addressed to the UK CAU Chairman Mary Hodges at email@example.com and from whom further detailed information about the position can be obtained.
