ESAA National Cross-Country Championships 2015

Hampshire Schools had another successful day at the ESAA Cross Country Championships.

Zakariya Mahamed and Mahamed Mahamed followed up their victories at the UKCAU Inter-Counties the previous weekend by winning the Junior Boys' and Senior Boys' titles respectively.

Josie Czura came second in the Junior Girls' race, Daisy D'Santos was third in the Senior Girls' race, while Lachlan Wellington finished third in the Junior Boys' event.

All the Hampshire and Vectis teams finished in the top four places: the Senior Boys and Junior Boys both finished second; the Senior Girls and the Intermediate Boys and Girls all finished third; and the Junior Girls finished in fourth place. Hampshire also came second in both Aggregate Trophies, losing out to Kent's boys by just 33 points in over 800 and to Surrey's girls.

  • Inter Boys - Jack Boswell (10th) and Jake Cvetkovic (11th); also Sam Maher (32nd - representing Channel Islands)
  • Senior Boys - Rian McCawley (12th) and Calum Upton (35th)
  • Junior Girls - Amelia Wills (9th)
  • Inter Girls - Maddie Deadman (11th), Lucy Pygott (18th), Tilly Horton (30th - representing Surrey) and Lucy Wildash (34th)
  • Senior Girls - Carmen Sanchez-Toribio (13th) and Katie Rowe (16th - representing Channel Islands)
