ESAA National Cross-Country Championships 2016
5 March at Wollaton Park, Nottingham

Hampshire Schools had another successful day at the New Balance ESAA Cross Country Championships.

Josie Czura went one better than last year by winning the Intermediate Girls' race, while Lachlan Wellington finished second in the Intermediate Boys' event, both having moved up an age group.

Lachlan headed the Hampshire and Vectis Intermediate Boys' team to the gold medal position, and Josie led the Intermediate Girls to second position. Hampshire came third in both Aggregate Trophies, losing out both times to their South-East rivals Kent and Surrey.

  • Senior Boys - Jack Boswell (16th) and Nathan Gibson (35th)
  • Intermediate Boys - Zak Mahamed (8th) and Jacob O'Hara (31st)
  • Intermediate Girls - Lucy Pygott (10th) and Maddie Deadman (12th)
  • Junior Girls - Ellie Farrow (14th), Nicole Ainsworth (27th) and Tallulah Jeffes (40th)
