Level1 Courses for Track and Field Judging

For everyone who would like to take the next step and become certified for Track or Field Judging, we are pleased to announce there will be some face-face courses taking place on Sunday 3rd November 2024

These are ‘Face to Face’ Courses from which you will get a better experience than ‘Virtual’ Courses.

Please bring your own lunch.
 
The programme for the day is:
09.45        Arrival, Registration and ‘Way Forward’ in the Pavilion.
10.15        Discipline courses include some practical work outside
so please wear appropriate clothing.
15.00        Finish

Cost is £30 

When applying you will also need to register for the on line Health & Safety and Safeguarding Modules if you have not done these already.

When applying for your DBS if you want to put Terry Williams as your Verifier and bring your documents to the Course he will verify for you at the time.

Derek Crookes u13 Inter Counties Championship

What a great day for our young athletes at the Derek Crookes u13 Inter Counties Championship at Walton on Sunday 4th August 2024.

Overall, the Hampshire Girls team came 3rd and the Hampshire Boys team came 6th (out of 13 counties).

The teams included:

Girls - Kylin Simpson, Vida-Pascaline Pericard, Sofia Waugh, Nia Trotman, Caitlin Tucker, Aoife Uniacke, Florence Williams, Freya Klepacz, Hallie Eldridge, Clarice Thorne Henderson, Mia Gligorovski, Aleksandra Pinel, Geneva Frankson, Imogen Shaw, Evie Bowditch

Boys - Declan Dew, Jack Sansome, Noah Foxcroft-Boyd, Tobi Adeniran, Finlay Stark, Paddy Butler, Edward Field, Jonah Tildesley, Toby Blake, Leo Davies-Pratt, Ewan Dermody, Christopher Wood, Noah Gartell, Brandon Coleman, Huxley Sherlock, Mikel Adesanya, Koen Renooij, Harvey Guyman, Caiden Griffin, Alex Wade.

Congratulations to Tobi Adeniran who achieved a top 10 ever championship performance for Shot Put and Discus and Kylin Simpson a top 10 ever championship performance for 75m hurdles.

Hampshire Centenary Championships & Multi Events

A fantastic week of centenary championship athletics has concluded. The event commenced with the Multi Events, Quadrathlon, and May Day runs and walks on a rainy bank holiday Monday and culminated with the Championships on a beautiful weekend, the 11th and 12th of May.

Congratulations to all the competitors. We hope you enjoyed the events, and we look forward to welcoming you all for the "Centenary Plus One" event next May.

A special mention goes out to the Athletes who achieved the best performances for a 100 years

Elsie Brindle U17W 300m who beat the championship record in her heat with 39.28 and then beat her own record in the final with 39.10 which ranks her as the second fastest in the UK

Florence Williams U13G 1500m 4:53.32 which ranks her as the second fastest in the UK

Tobi Adeniran U13B who beat two championship records in the Discus with 31.43m followed by the Shot Putt with 11.06m which ranks him as number 3 in the UK in both

Phoebe Dowson SW Discus 54.97m which ranks her as number 4 in the UK

These events would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of the event organizers, officials, and volunteers. Their commitment and effort were instrumental in the success of the championships, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their brilliant performance.

SEAA Under 17 and Under 15 Inter-Counties Championships

The Under 15 Boys came first in their competition, and the Under 15 Girls came second in theirs, one point behind Surrey. The Under 17 Women also came second and the Under 17 Men came seventh:
